The Unaired Part of Mrs Buhari's Interview By Jaafar Jaafar

The Unaired Part of Mrs Buhari's Interview

By Jaafar Jaafar

At the heat of the intense pressure mounted on the BBC to stop airing the remaining part of the controversial Aisha Buhari interview a few days ago, I had the privilege of listening to the interview before it was fully aired.

My good friend, the Head of the Abuja bureau of the BBC, Naziru Mika'il Abubakar, invited me to his office for comment on the interview, and directed that it be played to me before recording my comment.

Listening to the president's wife passionately expressing herself on how her husband runs Nigeria left me cringing. Reading between the lines, I realized Mrs. Buhari was sending SOS to Nigerians to save her bewitched, servile husband from the clutches of the Aso Rock witches, popularly known as "Aso cabal".

The Buhari I knew before election was not the obtuse person we have today as president. The Buhari I promoted during campaign had no nepotic, despotic or robotic tendencies. The Buhari I voted for was not this pliable. Forgive me if my knowledge of him was superficial.

Aisha Buhari might have pitched the nation a curve ball, but her interview is actually a deafening echo of what we've saying for ages about her husband. When I first raised alarm on the dangers of the influence of numero uno of the cabal, Mamman Daura, on the Buhari administration barely three weeks after Buhari took oath of office, I received all manner of insults and invective. Today a lot of my predictions have come to reality.

But if actually the Mamman Daura cabal is the one running this country, then it appears to be a very unintelligent lot whose mastery does not go beyond the art of nepotism and crafts of plagiarism.

This cabal has kept both the nation and the president under spell, leaving the economy to slide into recession, our currency to crash beyond salvation and impunity to reign supreme. This cabal suffocated a mega political party Nigerians from all regions laboured and united to build.

It always saddens me to realize that our president has been turned into a puppet, managed by some half-witted puppeteers, who are majorly dextrose at swinging his legs to Europe, America and Asia, stretching his hand to perpetuate nepotism or opening his mouth to goof.

From ministers to the heads of agencies, there is either portfolio misplacement or elevation of incompetence by this cabal right from the outset of the present administration. This very same cabal gave plum appointments to the progeny of the famous Kaduna mafia, some of whom even served the immediate-past administration or openly campaigned for the PDP.

A leading member of the cabal, who is the present Chief of Staff to the president, Abba Kyari, was appointed by former President Goodluck Jonathan as member of the Ribadu-led Petroleum Revenue Task Force in 2012. A year earlier, Kyari had turned down Buhari's offer to serve as the secretary of one of CPC presidential campaign committees -- perhaps because Buhari had little chance of winning.

Take the case of Sokoto ministerial nominee for instance. Any loyal party man will not be happy to see the daughter of the late Kaduna mafia Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji, Aisha Abubakar appointed minister from Sokoto State. Aisha openly campaigned for the PDP governorship candidate in Sokoto State and her brother, Aminu Abubakar Alhaji, who unsuccessfully vied for Tambuwal/Kebbe Federal Constituency ticket on the platform of PDP.

Again, no one who wishes the APC well will be happy to see Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed, the daughter of another Kaduna mafia, Yahaya Hamza, appointed minister from Kaduna State. Zainab headed NEITI under Jonathan and contributed to the PDP during election.

Any card carrying member of the APC will be saddened to see Mohammed Bello, the son of Mamman Daura's friend, Musa Bello, appointed minister from Adamawa State. Mohammed Bello headed the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria under Jonathan but was given the plum FCT ministry by the Aso cabal. I believe if he had gone against PDP, he would have been removed immediately after Jonathan lost election.

But look at how the cabal dumped loyal party members in Enugu like Osita Okechukwu to appoint Geoffrey Enyeama, who had hitherto never met Buhari nor worked for the APC, as minister of Foreign Affairs.

Or, will any APC politician be happy with Senator Ita Enang, a top Jonathan campaigner, as Senior Special Assistant to the president on National Assembly (Senate) or Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, also a top Jonathan campaigner, as chairman of the almighty Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, while loyal party men like Senator Magnus Abe were kicked to backstage? Senator Abe was even shot by the police during election in Rivers.

Aisha Buhari might have been wondering where were loyal Buhari campaigners like Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora, Faruq Adamu Aliyu, Dele Alake, Barrister Ismail Ahmed, Architect Waziri Bulama, Yusuf Tuga, Yakubu Lame, Dr. Hassan Lawan, Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, Umaru Dembo, Ubale Hashim, Umar Dangiwa, among others?

The president's wife and party supporters will also be incensed to see appointees of the past government still heading a number of agencies and departments. The cabal should know that party men are piqued that the 12 agencies of the Federal Ministry of Water Resources are still headed by the appointees of the past government as well as a minister, Engr Sulaiman Adamu, appointed not for his political contributions to the success of Buhari but close family ties.

Now take a cursory look at the reappointment of Umaru Ibrahim as managing director of NDIC. Ibrahim was appointed in December 2010 by Jonathan but was reappointed by Buhari to serve another five years as if there were no competent persons within the party fold. One still wonders why the Director-General of PenCom, Mrs Chinelo Anohu-Amazu, is retained despite the fact that her appointment was initially done in violation of law. Does Buhari think his party is happy that Malam Sani Sidi, a protege of former Vice President Namadi Sambo, is still the head of National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA?

Whoever wishes the president and APC well must feel strongly about this. As someone who stood by her husband during election, Aisha Buhari has rights to complain when some forces took over her husband or when things go wrong in the party. I still believe she loves her husband more than those that are insulting or mocking her. She is still the highest authority on the president's mental and socio-physical state.

One basic fact a lot of fanatical supporters of Buhari forget is that he rode on a saddle of political party to power. The fortunes of the party are diminishing and those who laboured to build the party and ensured the emergence of Buhari as candidate are relegated, while political ambulance chasers take the centre stage. APC's growth is inorganic, and so needs some therapies to strengthen it's fragility.

There is concern about the political future of Buhari and APC. As it stands today, barring any miracle, Buhari could either be the first incumbent Nigerian president to lose a party ticket at the primaries or the second president to lose re-election in Niger[truncated by WhatsApp]

Nigerians are a special breed.

ON AISHA

Dr.  Doyin Odebowale writes:

I have read so much on Aisha since yesterday. Nigerians are a special breed. Suddenly, this woman is not wanted in America! Buhari did not marry a child again. Her gold, diamond and platinum bracelets are not topics for discussion. We are moving out of recession indeed!

Many of the hypocrites on Facebook beat their wives. Many are so useless that they establish pepper soup joints for some useless dogs called women while their children cannot feed at home. Many don't care about how their children school fees are paid.

Aisha is the CEO of a thriving company. One of Buhari's daughters is a lawyer. His girls are graduates. I have read posts from some of my friends who, surprisingly, failed to see the statement credited to Buhari as a joke. I have followed some of them on Facebook. I know most of them will not tolerate any dissenting view from their wives.

Aisha is not in purdah. She is not confined to the kitchen, literally. I doubt if she still cooks. I would have expected the new supporters of Aisha to ask Buhari about the location of the kitchen. Is it Aso Villa where there exists a culinary complex? Look at Aisha and tell us if she belongs to the category of oppressed women. The fact that she granted the controversial interview bears eloquent testimony to Buhari's character. She just returned from the US. That trip generated another kind of controversy. That seems not important now.

Many of these hypocrites are not proud of their wives. Many of them pretend to love women but will work against them. Politicians abuse women sexually. They are play things. They only allow them when their unscrupulous godfathers impose them and direct political slaves to vote. Academics talk of "conference materials". These are people's wives, daughters, sisters, cousins, who belong to everybody while pretending to be in some dubious relationships. Lucky is she whose husband can proudly assert that she has a place in his bedroom. She is not sharing this space with any woman to our knowledge. Buhari's religion allows him to marry four women.

If the president attempted to douse tension generated by the wife's interview, and we fail to appreciate his joke, then our sense of humour appears morbid. Nigerians did not elect Aisha. She has no official role in the constitution. She cannot decide on who gets appointed into the government. If she complains that she does not know those in government, it means Buhari cannot be accused of nepotism. If she is pained that she is not involved in governance, that is a big plus for him. She was not on the ballot during the last election. She should not pick ministers and heads of agencies for us.

Is this not part of the change we crave? Hypocrisy is not a virtue.

*German Women rise against Nigerian Leader*

*German Women rise against Nigerian Leader*

In a press conference with the German leader in Berlin, President Buhari in what might be perhaps his most stupid political blunder yesterday in Germany, in answering a reporters question on the role of his wife in his government, has this to say..." _my wife belongs in my Kitchen and in my living room and other room_"

... what a statement!  That was politically incorrect.

The ill adviced President totally forgot that he is standing next to  a woman who is a world leader.
Here in Germany as in the rest of Europe, the issue of  women's right is a delicate one as women have come a long way fighting inequality in both society and at work place. Without warning, a visibly angry Mrs Merkel  (the German Chancellor) quickly ended the press conference to save the President further embarrassment.
The emancipation of women in Europe is a civil rights issue, that is why feminist groups in Germany immediately reacted to his outing as a hate speech and demanded his exit from their territory. A German opposition leader called for his immediate expulsion from Germany, while a renowned German newspaper in its editorial, has this to say about our President.
_ He is simply a dumb leader, hailed as the Messiah of Africa's most populous democracy  after winning election in 2015 His agenda of fighting corruption which was given a blessing by the West, especially former colonial master, England is very unpopular in his country as citizens are more concerned about the economic hardship and joblessness to his fight for financial recovery_.

It went ahead to say,...

 - when it comes to world issues, the former general has little knowledge of events of the moment and hardly articulates.The more you listen to him, the dumber you become_ -;

Hard words, but written with some elements of sincerity.
Germany has a woman as head of state. Germany also has a mother with eight children as defence minister, (comnander of a powerful millitary force) something unthinkable in most parts of the world especially, Africa. The notion here is that, girls can be everything including being President .

MUHAMMDU BUHARI'S CONTRIBUTION TO AISHA'S CAREER

MUHAMMDU BUHARI'S CONTRIBUTION TO AISHA'S CAREER

Aisha Buhari was born Aisha Halilu, on 17th February 1971, in Adamawa state. She did her primary and secondary school education in the same state.

When Aisha married Muhammadu Buhari on 2nd December 1989, she only had a secondary school leaving certificate at the time.

Based on his pragmatic outlook to life and a zeal to empower women, especially his wife, Muhamamdu Buhari continuously sponsored Aisha's education up to masters degree level.

Furthermore, he encouraged her to pursue business, so that she could be independent and make contribution to society.

These are some of Aisha's achievements while living with Muhamamdu Buhari his wife:

1. Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

2. Master's degree in International Affairs and Strategic Studies from the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna.

3. Diploma in Beauty Therapy from the Carlton Institute of Beauty Therapy, Windsor, United Kingdom.

4. Post-graduate diploma in Cosmetology and Beauty from Academy Esthetique Beauty Institute of France.

5. Member of the United Kingdom Vocational Training and Charitable Trust.

6. Member International Health and Beauty Council.

7. Founder/Managing Director of Hanzy Spa and Principal of Hanzy Beauty Institute.

8. Resource Person to the National Basic Technical Education (NBTE).

9. Published a book titled "Essentials of Beauty Therapy: A Complete Guide for Beauty Specialists”.

10. Patron of various charity organisations at home and abroad.

Regardless of the joke he cracked in Germany, that his wife belongs to his kitchen, living room and the other room, this man, Muhammadu Buhari, has done everything conceivable to assist his wife attain fulfilment, independence, and thus becoming a proud contributor to human society.

Muhammadu Buhari has remained a faithful husband and a great father to Aisha's 5 children.

Ask yourself this sincere question; how many men out there on the planet are this good to their wives?

Fellow compatriots, I solicit for your fervent prayers for our President.

May God bless Nigeria and Nigerians. Amen.

Ekwueme reveals how Jonathan disappointed Igbos.

– Chief Alex Ekwueme, a former vice president and top member of the PDP, does not seem happy with former President Goodluck Jonathan – He speakd=s about Jonathan’s days in office, what the former president told him and how he failed Igbo people Former vice president and founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alex Ekwueme, has revealed his disappointment in former President Goodluck Jonathan. Jonathan, heavily supported by the south-east zone, was defeated by Muhammadu Buhari during the 2015 governorship election.
But Ekwueme said despite the massive support from the Igbo people and which Jonathan attested to, he never helped to fix challenges in the zone.
In an interview reported by Vanguard, Ekwueme said: “As I said in an interview in the past, Jonathan didn’t treat us very well for the support he got in 2011; which he confessed to me himself was more than what he got from his people in the south-south“He gave an example, that the people who were running against him tried to get a running mate from the south-east, but none of them succeeded in getting a running mate from the southeast to run against him; but even in his own south-south, Oyegun was a running mate to somebody; and when the election was over the Youth Corps members who were brutalised in Bauchi were people from the southeast, not people from the south-south. He told me this himself. “So, he had every reason to be fair-minded and equitable in his distribution of resources.“But we could not go from Enugu to Onitsha on a federal road, you couldn’t go from Enugu to Port-Harcourt on a federal road, we couldn’t go from Aba to Okigwe on a federal road; you couldn’t go from Owerri on the federal road. None of the federal roads in the south-east was motorable.”

Boko Haram: Friend weeps as young Major is killed in ambush

The very bitter story of one young and brilliant army Major Erasmus whose life was cut short in a Boko Haram attack, has been told by a friend who in shock cannot bear the news of his buddy’s demise.

Erasmus 3
According to the horrified friend named Raphael Edem, the sad news of Major Eramus’ demise, filtered in today, October 7.
Edem, who is a media aide to Governor Udom Emmanuel, took to his Facebook wall to pour his heart out regarding the irreplaceable loss of his friend and a Nigerian hero in his own right. According to Edems account, Major Erasmus was at one time the Second-in-Command at the Nigerian Army Brigade in Ibagwa, Abak Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom state, until he was posted to Maiduguri, some months ago, to join troops in the eye of the storm, where the Boko Haram war raged the  most.
Erasmus 5
Erasmus unfortunately lost his live to the insurgents, having fought gallantly; leaving tears to flow endlessly like rivers. Below is an account of the tragic loss as narrated by Raphael Edem. The beginning of friendship “I met Major Erasmus in January this year. We were preparing for the annual ritual of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day. He was the 2/ic at the Brigade in Ibagwa and was coordinating the activities and introducing me to the nuances of military parades and traditions. Friendly, welcoming, affable, very polite, ever-smiling and soft spoken. It was difficult to believe that this young man of about my age, with a baby face and an innocent, almost clerical demeanor was an army officer. I don’t think I have ever met a more friendly and gentlemanly officer! We struck and instant bond and kept in touch after the ceremonies. Brilliant in mind and strong at heart
“He was very intelligent, well schooled within and outside the country where he shone like a millions stars, and going by the testimony of his colleagues that I got to meet at different times, he was an excellent officer who was very professional and good at his job. He invited me to the tombola night at Ibagwa, and we kept in touch despite his frequent trips to Kaduna to finalize his Masters degree programme. Anybody who met him while not in uniform would be hard pressed to believe he was a military man, let alone an army officer.” A hint of death “He told me about his transfer to Maiduguri, but my apprehension about that posting was tempered by the Government’s assurances that Boko Haram had been routed in the North East. Erasmus assured me that we will get to see sometime soon.
Erasmus 2
Alas! That is not going to happen as I woke this morning to the tragic news that he had been killed by an ambush in Maiduguri. And that is how we have lost this young, fresh-faced, bachelor officer.” Heroes forgotten “Today, the enormity of the task and sacrifices made by our armed forces stares me in he face. The career path they have chosen is something everyone should respect and appreciate.
Adieu Major Erasmus, Adieu my friend! Adieu officer and gentleman par excellence. The most painful goodbyes are the ones that are never said and never explained. May God rest your soul and may your ultimate sacrifice not be in vain!” The war against Boko Haram has taken too much from Nigeria, so many young, brilliant and gallant soldiers have been lost in the course of this baseless war. Like Raphael hinted, it is been Nigeria’s tradition to forget the efforts of our fallen heroes and we rarely get to properly reward those who are still living. It is the prayer of Nigerians that the insurgency within the northeast comes to quick end, having lingered too long already. For the friends and family members of the late Major Erasmus, we can only pray that they are granted the fortitude to bear the loss, extending this also to all those soldiers lost in the cause of this war. The Nigerian government must also see to it that the families of this men who stand at the frontline, defending this nation with sweat and blood, are properly taken care off.

Just like the famous Steve Jobs, this young man believes that; “You have to believe the dots will connect somewhere down the road in your life. But you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect the dots looking backwards. This might take you off the well-known part in life, but that will make all the difference”. “Sometimes, life can hit you with a brick in the head, don’t lose faith”. “I’m convinced that I love what I do. You have to find what you love, and this is true for work as it is true for your lover. Your work is going to fill the larger part of your life, and the only way you can be truly satisfied is to do what you love. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking don’t settle. And like every other thing that matter to the heart, you’ll know when you find it”. And like every great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years rolls on. So keep looking, don’t settle. Bonire Abdulrahman Femi, just like every other ordinary Nigerian has a dream to become something in life – An Army General. He was so passionate about this that he refused to write the university entry exam (Jamb) when he was passing out of secondary school. This, to him, was to make his parent give his ambition their all. After several failed attempts to secure an admission into the Nigerian Defense Academy (NDA), he began to realize that he has to have several other realistic plans. The Bigger Dream Deep within, he has always been nursing a bigger dream, which is to become a successful entrepreneur. But, the big question is, how was he going to achieve this fit? Thus, he let go of his military ambition and leverage on one of the legacies and professions his father has instilled in him from childhood, which is plumbing. But, he wants to do plumbing with a difference, and make himself available to clients and customers 24/7!

The Stumbling Blocks After several failed attempts to repackage and promote his plumbing business, shortly after graduating from the university, he gave in to the challenges of paying the bills and took up a day job briefly with an insurance company and a bank in quick succession.
But, all along, his dreams of building his own business would not let him be. Hence, he resigned from the bank and went back fully into his plumbing business.
Dream Actualized Although, he might still be having some other great business plans up his sleeves, but as far as plumbing is concerned, he is living his dreams.

“I no longer have to get stuck to the same monotonous routine job every single day the way it used to be”. “I now enjoy what I do and do what I enjoy. Do you? How Tinubu picked Osinbajo as Vice President

Lagos-State-Commisioner-for-Environment-Mr-Tunji-Bello
– Mr Tunji Bello has disputed John Paden’s account of the 2015 presidential elections – John Paden’s account of hoe Yemi Osinbajo was picked as vice president – He said Bola Tinubu actually picked the vice president, not contesting for it
Mr Tunji Bello the secretary to Lagos state government, on Thursday, October 9, disagreed with John Paden’s account of how Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, emerged as Buhari’s running mate in the 2015 elections. John Paden in his biography of President Muhammadu Buhari had insinuated that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu wanted to be Buhari’s running mate, but Osinbajo was picked instead. However, Bello said the process of Osinbajo’s nomination started immediately after Buhari emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate at the party National Convention held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos, on December 11, 2014. In a statement he signed, Bello contradicted John Paden, stating that Bola Tinubu was the one who nominated Osinbajo for the position. In his statement Bello, said that Tinubu had summoned a meeting to decide who would be Buhari’s running mate the morning after the President emerged the APC candidate.
He said: “I do not know how the author came about his story, but he totally got it wrong because what he wrote basically is based on falsehood that reeks of deliberate misinformation and mischief. “I received a phone call from Asiwaju to see him the morning after Buhari emerged the APC candidate. “On my way to his house, I discovered that a car at a reasonable distance was that of former Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Dele Alake, who was, ostensibly, heading towards Asiwaju’s house in Ikoyi. “Asiwaju must have called him too for that task that could be explained underneath. As soon as we arrived, Asiwaju quickly asked us to join him in his car as we headed to a Guest House. At the Guest House, former APC Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande, Osinbajo and one renowned pastor joined us. “At the meeting, Asiwaju related to us the urgent need to pick a vice presidential candidate for the APC. He advised that we immediately discard the idea of his being nominated for the vice-presidential slot as it was no longer possible to pick a Muslim-Muslim ticket. “This, he reasoned, made sense if indeed we were to be realistic in our bid to defeat President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 election. He reasoned that what was important and imperative at that time was to look for a good Christian nominee to complement President Mohammadu Buhari.” READ ALSO: FACT CHECK: Buhari lied in his book; Tinubu rejected his Vice President offer Meanwhile, Femi Aribisala in a recent opinion had this to say about Tinubu: “The reality of Tinubu’s politics in Nigeria is that he can be a king-maker but will not be allowed to be king. The best Tinubu has been able to achieve has been to nominate a vice-president who, to all intents and purposes, is not even a major power-broker in government. “As vice-president, Professor Yemi Osibajo has only succeeded in being a fall-guy; for the collapse of the naira and for the failure to date of the 2016 budget.”

Buhari denies freezing Goodluck Jonathan’s accounts

jonathan's accounts not frozen
– The presidency has decried what it described as attempts to tarnish President Buhari’s image with claims that he stopped ex-president Jonathan’s payments – Buhari’s spokesman Garba Shehu says the president is unaware of the claims so also are all bodies that should be aware – Shehu says President Buhari would not stoop so low to engage in vendetta instead of rendering justice Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Buhari says Jonathan’s accounts have not been frozen President Muhammadu Buhari has denied freezing the accounts of former president Goodluck Jonathan as was claimed by some Bayelsa youths in a recent protest. Punch reports that Buhari made the clarification on Friday, October 7 in a statement through presidential spokesman Garba Shehu.  According to Shehu, there was not truth in the report that the presidency froze Jonathan’s accounts because the president was committed to justice and not dealing in vendetta. The statement reads, “The allegation by demonstrators in Bayelsa State on Thursday that allowances due to a former president have been stopped and his bank accounts frozen is patently untrue. “We have confirmed with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation that the former president and other past leaders were paid their allowances up to the second quarter.
“The past leaders have not been paid third quarter allowances but will get their dues when remittances are received by the SGF from the Ministry of Finance.
“Also, the story of account closure is false. It is not known to the investigation agencies. “The National Security Adviser to the President is not aware of this bank account closure; the SSS Director General is unaware of it; the EFCC is unaware and the IG of Police is not in the know. “With all of these agencies not being involved, how then could a thing like that happen? In a dream perhaps! “To put it starkly, we believe there is a clear motive for the demonstration that is different from that which was being canvassed. “This is a premeditated attempt to blame President Muhammadu Buhari for something he knows nothing about. “These claims are false and poorly sourced to present a picture of vendetta; and they should be disregarded by well-meaning members of the public. “President Buhari remains committed to the ideals of justice and fairness to all, irrespective of creed, religion and political leanings. His administration will not engage in vendetta.” Meanwhile, a statement from the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) has claimed that the protest which rocked Yenagoa, Bayelsa state on Thursday, October 6 against the alleged persecution of former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience by the federal government may have been sponsored.

ATTC RECORDZ. Dear struggling artistes

Dear Struggling Artist,
You write of your anxiety, your fears, your uncertainty about your calling. Wondering if the artistic life is even right for you, or realistic, or doomed to be one of constant struggle. You ask if it’s worth it, if you should heed the advice of all those who “love” you and just get a normal job, with normal pay, “job security” – as they call it.
You wonder if you can do this thing. If you’ve done it once, or twice, or ten times, you wonder if you can do it again. Whether you’re good enough (what is enough, anyway?) and if you’ll have what it takes. You want to know if you can count on this life to sustain you and worry that there’s just too little chance of “making it” or “losing it.” And so your heart beats a little faster with fear. You lie awake at night worrying about making ends meet, distrusting yourself. You see everyone elses’ work and theirs all looks so much better, younger, in vogue, desirable. You look at what you haven’t accomplished, your unfinished drafts, the auditions you couldn’t bring yourself to do, the ones you lost, the successes you’ve had, the next great big vision that seems so very far from reach or reality (which is it?) – and you wonder if it’s worth it.
Shouldn’t it get easier the longer you practice your craft? Shouldn’t you be in a better place by now? Shouldn’t you be beyond lying in bed worrying about the same damn things?
No. You shouldn’t. And you know why?
Because you’re human.  Because the artistic life is a journey and the cold hard truth is you never “arrive.”
All the success in your field will never equate to security. It’s the nature of life – expansion. It’s the nature of art.
There is no top of the mountain. You. just. keep. climbing.
So, in response, dear struggling artist, I would tell you: keep going. Pause and breathe when you must, but don’t stop. Keep climbing. Keep going back to the keyboard, the audition, the next script, the next possibility. Keep letting yourself dream. Keep believing. Keep trusting that the Universe hasn’t brought you this far just to drop you now.
Because it hasn’t. You’re here, right where you are, no matter where you are – beginning, middle, end of a career- for a reason. You’re exactly where you are “meant” to be.
So breathe. Relax. Trust. You’re called to be an artist. To live this life as a creator. Don’t get to the end of your life wishing you’d taken more chances, believed in yourself more, changed your thoughts about what is possible.
Keep climbing. You’re worth it.

Rev Father Chibe Ofor. WE NEEDWE NEED A REVIVAL!

WE NEEDWE NEED A REVIVAL!     At a time when the church has become a gground for
entertainment, we need revival. At a time when a
music minister competes and compares himself with
secular musician, we need a revival. At a time when
the altar of God is used for comedy, we need a
revival. At a time when a successful minister of the
Gospel is measured by how rich he is and not how much
impact he is making, we need a revival. At a time,
when passion for souls have been replaced with fashion
parade in the church, we need a revival.
At a time when motivational speaking has replaced
biblical preaching, we need a revival. At a time when
you really cannot differentiate between a daughter of
Zion and an harlot, we need a revival. At a time when
pastors kill each other for posting and higher position,
we need a revival. At a time when modern preachers
now tell only about prosperity, we need a
revival. At a time when packaging and special effect
has replaced the beauty of God's glory, we need a
revival. At a time when sexual sin is referred to as
weakness and the grace of God is taken for granted,
we need a revival. At a time when prophets prophecy using demonic powers as livelihood, we
need a revival. At a time when the church does not
know the difference between witchcraft spirit and the
Holy Spirit, we need a revival. At a time when filling
the seats in our place of worship has become a priority
than raising disciples of Jesus, we need revival.
At a time when sinners feel comfortable in our
churches and saints feel no sense of urgency to preach
the good news to the lost, we need revival. At a time
when pastors are more concerned about how much
money members give than how much the members truly
love the LORD, we need revival. At a time when the
word of God is scarce and the fire on the altar is
going out, and the priests have become blind, the
watchmen sleeping, and holiness is no longer our
standard, we need a revival.
We need a revival not a programme. We need a
reawakening of our souls and a new awareness of the
power of God. We do not need another jamboree but
true repentance coupled with a changed life. We do
not need another noise, we need a shaking and a
mighty rushing wind. We do not need another
movement, we need a reformation.
We need the Lord to come again and restore us unto
himself. We need the Lord to open our eyes again that
we may see Him. We want to see His Holiness again that
we may see our depravity. We need a genuine
outpouring of the Holy Spirit, we are tired of speaking
in tongues and not living Christ-like. There is no other
desire that we have than to hear again the same voice
that spoke in the valley of dry bones to bring us back
to life. Our nations are in darkness, yet we are the
light. We cannot pretend anymore, we need to activate the power of holy ghost and he will reawaken us. He will revive us again

Father Chibe Ofor. JOY UNSTOPPABLE!

JOY UNSTOPPABLE!  Beatitude speaks of that inner joy which shines through tears and pains. Here is an internal joy which sorrow and loss, pain and grief are powerless to touch. Nothing in life and death can take away such joy.
Beyond change in fortune, collapse of health, failure of a plan, disappointment of an ambition, even change in weather, the beatitude is a serene and untouched joy, which comes from walking forever in the company and presence of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is the source of this joy.
Among the blessed ones that posses this inner joy are the poor in spirit. These are those who realized their utter helplessness and have put their whole trust in God. The mournful equally share in this inner joy because their hearts are broken for the world’s suffering and for their own sinfulness. In their mourning for their sin and compassion for suffering humanity, they discover a lasting consolation that comes from the Holy Spirit.
The Meek partakes of this inner joy. These are those who control their instincts, impulse and passion by God’s grace and who realize their ignorance and weakness before God. Such men are Kings among men. As a starving man longs for food and a thirsty man, for water, so those who long for righteousness are possessors of this inner joy. This deep joy from the Holy Spirit satisfies them.
Those who are merciful enough to share other people’s tears and joy share in this joy and mercy that come from the Holy Spirit. For those motives are clear, whose hearts and minds are clean, they partake of this joy because they will perceive the pure God within them. The peacemakers who bring men together are partakers of this joy because their attitudes depict them as children of God. The sufferers for Christ are not left out in this lasting joy. I can see you joyous unstoppably this day!

the Nigerian Passport.

VERY IMPORTANT info regarding the Nigerian Passport. We recall that PMB recently sent the CG of NIS to the "coolers" & appointed a new one.

●  Babandede the new CG of NIS says he has instructed state commands to decentralize & reissue lost passport & change of names.

**Gone are the days of travelling to Abuja, particularly newly married women who used to travel there for change of names.

● Approval for replacement of lost passports shall henceforth be given by state comptrollers after online vetting and processing of application at the Passport Division in the Service’s headquarters.

● The 64 page e-passport costs N20,000, 32 page costs N15,000 (18-60yrs) while those below 18yrs and above 60 years cost N8, 750.

● The official fees/categories of passports will henceforth be displayed at various passport offices to ensure transparency.

● Nigerians are urged to insist on paying the official fees at the designated passport offices or pay online at the official immigration website to avoid exploitation by touts and agents.

● Additional passport offices to be opened in state commands where the existing passport office is getting overwhelmed with demand to ensure efficient service delivery.

BEWARE WHEN YOU NOTICE ALL THESE IN YOUR LIFE. Father Chibe Ofor

BEWARE WHEN YOU NOTICE ALL THESE IN YOUR LIFE.

1. Beware! When prayer becomes a difficult thing for you.

2. Beware! When fasting is becoming a history in your spiritual timetable.

3. Beware! When you no longer enjoy reading the word of God.

4. Beware! When attending church programme is becoming a burden rather than a blessing for you.

5. Beware! When living a life of holiness is appearing like extremism.

6. Beware! When sinful living becomes a lifestyle in the name of grace.

7. Beware! When you crave for earthly things rather than the things of God.

8. Beware! When waking up in the night to pray is becoming a thing of the past.

9. Beware! brethren, when your heart no longer desires to see the Lord Jesus one day.

MISTAKE TO MIRACLE! Rev Father Chibe Ofor

MISTAKE TO MIRACLE!
But many that are first will be last, and the last first. This means that certain situations of some people will be changed positively. Some people living in mistake will move into miracle.
Terrible mistake may have banged your life to a tight corner, and turned your life into sad news? You may have fallen severally on the path of righteousness and success? You may have committed what people termed abominable and highly offensive? You may have stumbled, you will not fall, for the Lord holds you by the hand (Ps.37:23).
Don’t give up! Your mistakes can be turned into miracles! The Lord has not finished with you. He is working out a new path for you. He is fashioning out a new breakthrough for you!
Do you feel defeated in life! Are you feeling overpowered by your situation? Have you been beaten by any circumstance? Have you lost some battle? The battle is not yet over! God has not finished with you! He is ready to turn your mistakes into miracle!
Don’t give up! Your head has to be lifted over the enemies round about you (Ps.27:6)! Your head has to be lifted over the mistakes round about you! With determination and vigor, you have to begin afresh! With vision and focus, you have to see to the successful end of your journey!
Great minds make mistakes! But they are not mastered by their mistake! They master their mistake and turn stumbling blocks into stepping stone! Your stumbling blocks will soon turn into stepping stones! Your mistakes will soon turn into miracles!
Don’t give up! Sorrow may have endured in the night! Joy will come with the morning (Ps.30:5)! Your mistakes may have lingered for some time now! But your miracle will rise in the morning! Many
that are first will be last. You will begin to see some way where there seems to be no way! Get ready for this miracle package!

EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE! Rev. Father Chibe Ofor

EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE!
In the supernatural realm, everything is possible. When God mingles with men, everything is very possible. In the presence of the anointing of the Holy Spirit, everything is really possible.
Jesus understood this very well when He interacted with them. And they were exceedingly astonished, and said to him: “Then who can be saved?” Jesus looked at them and said: “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.
With God, everything is possible. In the presence of the Lord, everything is possible. With God, the barren can conceive and the deaf hears. With him the disabled are capacitated. Gideon became a great warrior because the great Spirit of God rested on him for exploit: “But the Spirit of the Lord came upon Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abiezrites gathered after him” (Jdg.6:34).
Jephthah became a conqueror because the Great Holy Spirit rested on him for victory in war: “Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah, and he passed through Gilead and Manasseh, and Mizpah of Gilead, and from Mizpah of Gilead, he passed on to the Ammonites”. Then Jephthah crossed over to the Ammonites to fight them and the Lord gave them into his hand (Jdg.11:29, 32).
God with you, everything is possible! You can be impelled or moved by the power from on high to do great work in our time! Beyond human impulse, you can be propelled by the hand of God to carry out great function in our generation! The great unction for function can rest upon you to proclaim the kingdom of God on earth!

RELEASE OF THE SUPERNATURAL! Rev. Father Chibe Ofor

RELEASE OF THE SUPERNATURAL!
In the days of old, the marvelous Holy Spirit has demonstrated His marvelous presence in marvelous ways as the Holy Spirit upon them. When the Holy Spirit comes upon the elites of old, great deeds were performed. God anoints them to carry out His great functions on earth. When the burden of shepherding the flock of the Egyptian became so much for Moses, God decided to bring upon the Holy Spirit upon the seventy elders for efficient leadership in Israel: And I will come down and talk with thee there; and I will take of the spirit which is upon you and I will put it upon them, and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, so that you may not bear it alone (Nm.11:17).
When the Counselor comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness to me; and you also are witnesses, because you have been with me from the beginning. “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he speaks on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
The supernatural presence of God comes upon you! A new release of the supernatural is on the way! Great Holy Spirit still leads people in great ways since the days of old! Marvelous Holy Spirit still rests upon people to lead them into marvelous work in our time. The secret of outstanding work is simply an outstanding unction. Doing the marvelous means that a marvelous Holy Spirit rests on you.
D release of d supernatural presence of d Holy Spirit comes ur way today!

take it easy! Rev Father Chibe Ofor

I vividly recall the story of a man who became popular for engaging in money rituals just to buy the 80's edition of the Honda Prelude; you wouldn't buy that car for 50k today.

A guy brutally murdered his brother, just because he wanted to acquire the rave of the moment - Pathfinder Jeep. That same vehicle is now of less value than then.... Vanity

I remember as a kid, my whole street gathered at a neighbour's house to watch a"drama" shown on a "double-door black & white television". Today there is plasma television and its almost found in every student's room..... Vanity

Some ladies left their true loves because some rich guy then persuaded them with a Benz 190, which turned out to be the only car they ever owned till date. They found out too late that true love is invaluable..... Vanity

What about Santana, Mercedes Benz V boot, 505 Evolution, Toyota Crown?... All overtaken by latest models of Camry, Honda, Bugatti, Bentley, X6, Acura and Infinity.... Vanity!

A guy declared drinks because he launched the Nokia-3310 phone in 2002. Today that phone would embarrass the owner and is a joke compared to the low cost and everyday phones..... Vanity

What about the MTN SIM card that many people went extra miles before they bought for over 30k, today you will not buy it anywhere because all networks are begging people to even take it for free.... Vanity

People are still making the most horrific sacrifices over 'vanity' and make enemies over worthless material things. What can I say? Look back at that one thing you want to kill or die for today,in your Marriage, Office, religion, Family,Community... etc and see what becomes of it tomorrow.
There is absolutely nothing you can't achieve. ... Take it easy!

All you need is a little time , PATIENCE,absolute obedience and trust in God and you would thank God without regrets.
There is actually nothing in this world that is worth dieing for, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
take it easy!e

YOUR DAILY MIRACLE! Rev. Father Chibe Ofor

YOUR DAILY MIRACLE
Miracle is a daily experience of believers. Their belief in the unseen makes them candidates for the unseen and unimagined. Their belief in the impossible leads to a daily occurrence of impossible things in their lives. “No one gets very far unless he accomplishes the impossible at least once a day” Said Elbert Hubbard. Miracle is our daily experience. Jesus empowered his followers for a daily miracle with these words:
And these sings will accompany those who believe; in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.
With the above divine empowerment, the extra-ordinary begins to happen in our lives. Understanding this fact, Jerry stated: “Rize "Today I will do what others won't, so tomorrow I can accomplish what others can't."
“We would accomplish many more things if we did not think of them as impossible.” Said Vince Lombardi. As soon as start seeing the possibilities of what God has stated, you will begin to accomplish those marvelous things in a daily basis. Casting of devil will become your daily experience. Speaking in tongue will be your access to the miraculous. Healing the sick will be your habit! Get ready for daily miracles in your life

Determined to succeed! Rev. Father Chibe Ofor

Determined to succeed!
Inward determination to succeed makes one to look triumphantly over situations of life. A dogged will to achieve something makes one an impossible case for mediocrity. “Success comes to those who have the character to continue when all seems lost” said Roy B. Zuck
...After this he left Athens and went to Corinth.
Paul experienced rejection in his apostolic mission, but he was determined to succeed. The Athenians frowned at his apostolic mission, but he was undaunted on his course. Abraham Lincoln knew a
great deal about loss. His mother died when he was nine. He lost an election to the Illinois state legislature in 1832, failed to obtain a desired appointment as commissioner of General Land Office in Illinois in 1849, lost Senate races in 1855 and 1858 and lost a vice presidential nomination in 1856. But Lincoln was determined to be a success amidst all rejection. Amidst all odds, u can be determined to be a success!

YOUR RADICAL PRAYER! Rev. Father Chibe Ofor

YOUR RADICAL PRAYER!

Oh God our Father, the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth, the Father of our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ. We worship Your Majesty. We know You as the Almighty. There is nothing that is too hard for You. You frustrate the tokens of liars. Yes they may gather, but because they have not gathered in Your Name, scatter them.

The Fulani moslems, well organized, have encircled us with high calibre arms and ammunitions pretending to be cattle rearers, waiting for orders to overrun our land and kill our people. They have perfected their strategies. They beat their chest and ask, "who can stop us now?"
But can the Fulani say it and have it come to pass when You Oh LORD have not decreed it? We Trust in Your WORD in Lamentations 3:36-37. You  are very clear that You disappoint the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.

Now, Oh LORD:
Arise and defend us; contend with the Fulanis that contend with us. You promised to be an Adversary to all our adversaries and an Enemy to all our enemies. Look at them, Thou Great Man of War - See their nocturnal meetings, their plans, strategies, wicked connections. Arise LORD and Disband them, scatter them. Break them to pieces and let Your whirlwind overrun them...
Frustrate and throw out the National Grazing Reserves and Ranches Commission bill before our National Assembly. Give our Senators and Representatives the courage and number to defeat that ill conceived bill as it is intended to enrich one ethnic group at the expense of others in Nigeria and to advance islamization of our country.
In the seeming perfectness of their strategies, Oh LORD, let not their hands perform their enterprise.
Oh LORD, protect us. Stop them from destroying our farmlands, raping our women, killing our people, burning our houses, kidnapping and robbing us.
They are gathered together against the Lord, and against His Christ. For of a truth against Your Holy Child Jesus, Whom You have Anointed, they are gathered together. And now, Oh LORD, behold their threatening and grant our prayers.
Oh LORD send us human and angelic helps. We totally depend on You.
Thank You for Your Love for us and for hearing us, Oh LORD. We pray in Jesus wonderful Name! Amen.

Pray it daily. Share widely.

Rev. Father Chibe Ofor. Keep reading. More to come

Real joy in the final analysis consists in recognizing your blessings and rejoicing over them. It is thankfulness for those things which you have, but not due to you. It is satisfaction with and gratitude for the mysteries of your life: your family, your food, your opportunities, your freedom, your intellect, your health, and many numerous gifts that are freely bestowed on you by the Author of life. The bad news coming from the people, nothwithstanding, Barnabas and Paul counted on their blessings: And all the assembly kept silence; and
they listened to Barnabas and Paul as they related what signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles. D bad news from d Fulanis nothwithstanding, u can still count on ur blessings!

National Grazing Reserve Council Bill

Nigerians are still crying. Someone wrote to me.
I decided to read a copy of the National Grazing Reserve Council Bill and I was surprised at what I saw.
The Bill creates a council to be chaired by a Chairman to be appointed by the president.
The council shall have the power to take your land anywhere the land is located in the country and then pay you compensation.
Your land, when taken, shall be assigned to herdsmen who shall use your land for grazing purposes. They shall bring cows to the land and you shall lose the land permanently to those Fulani cattlemen.
If you feel that the council was not right to take your land, you can go to court but before you go to court, you must first of all notify the federal attorney general of your intention to sue the council. Apart from notifying, you must get the consent and authority of the Federal Attorney General before you can sue.
So that means that if the Attorney General refuses to give his consent to the suit, you have lost your land forever to the herdsmen.
And this law, when passed, shall apply to the whole country so it means that your land in the village or anywhere is not safe.
The National Grazing Reserve Council would have the power to take away your land from you anytime they want and pay you whatever they want as compensation (even when you don't want to sell, and remember that for you to get compensation, you must have documents showing or proving ownership).
So I think that we all in the South West, South South and South East must rise up and reject this Bill. We must do all things to force our national Assembly members from passing that bill into law.
That bill is a deliberate attempt to take our lands and hand the land over to the Fulani cattlemen since it is only the fulanis that rear cattle in Nigeria.
That law, when passed, shall fulfil the directive of Uthman Dan Fodio and other northern leaders to take over other parts of Nigeria.
I implore you to use all available means to implore your senator and Rep not to pass that law.
That law will destroy Nigeria.
All over the world, ranches are established and used to rear cattle. The farmers buy land and put there cattle there. There is no country where the land of the citizens are compulsorily acquired and given to others.
This is evil, and designed to favour the Fulanis where the president comes from.
We must resist the passage of that bill into law to save Nigeria, and to protect our future generations
